Why this program is needed
Age‑related vision loss (presbyopia) makes it difficult to read, work, and manage daily tasks, especially for older people in low‑income and war‑affected communities.
Age‑related vision loss (presbyopia) makes it difficult to read, work, and manage daily tasks, especially for older people in low‑income and war‑affected communities.
This joint program of the International Charitable Foundation “Contribution to Medicine Development” and RestoringVision (USA) provides free eye examinations and reading eyeglasses for people who cannot afford vision correction.
Thousands of people have already received appropriate reading glasses, allowing them to read, work, and live more independently.
Support is needed to purchase reading eyeglasses in standard quarter‑ and three‑quarter‑diopter steps (e.g. +1.25, +1.75, +2.25), which are not covered by our partner supply, and to fund regular outreach visits to underserved communities.
