Forum RGOW: Support for Free Medical Care in Ukraine
Forum RGOW, a Swiss-based organisation focused on Eastern Europe, supports the International Charitable Foundation “Contribution to Medicine Development” in providing free medical consultations to vulnerable people in central Ukraine. Together, we ensure that internally displaced people, older persons, and high-risk patients continue to receive essential medical care despite the war. Project Manager Regula Spalinger describes in her article how this cooperation works in practice and what it means for those who can no longer afford or reach regular healthcare. Read more about the impact of this partnership in the Forum RGOW article (in German).
Forum RGOW: supporting free medical consultations in Ukraine
Forum RGOW is one of the key partners standing with the International Charitable Foundation “Contribution to Medicine Development” in providing free medical support to people affected by the war in Ukraine. As a Swiss-based organisation focused on Eastern Europe, Forum RGOW enables projects that respond directly to the needs of vulnerable groups.
Project Manager Regula Spalinger from Forum RGOW describes in her article how our Ukrainian foundation organizes free medical assistance for those who can no longer afford or reach essential care. The project supports mobile and stationary consultations in central Ukraine, where many displaced families have sought refuge. Doctors carry out examinations, adjust treatment plans, and ensure that patients with chronic diseases do not fall through the cracks. In this way, the program closes a critical gap between overstretched public services and the high medical needs created by the ongoing war.
“The Ukrainian foundation ‘Contribution to Medicine Development’ offers free medical help for particularly vulnerable groups – internally displaced people, older people and those who have no access to regular care,” writes Forum RGOW. “With their support, doctors can continue their work despite the war and reach people who would otherwise be left alone with their health problems.”
Joint project with Forum RGOW
- Free Medical Consultations – ongoing program providing free medical consultations for vulnerable patients in central Ukraine, including internally displaced people and older persons.
Thanks to this partnership, thousands of patients in Ukraine have already received free medical consultations and follow-up care, often after months without seeing a doctor. The cooperation with Forum RGOW strengthens our ability to keep medical services running, protect people with chronic diseases, and ensure that those forced to flee are not left without medical help.
